Simon Marais Mathematical Competition (II) – 2019

The Indian Institute of Science competed for the second time in the 2019 Simon Marais Mathematical Competition, and has done extremely well. The competition is held all across the Asia-Pacific region annually; see this website https://www.simonmarais.org/.

The highlights of the performance of the Institute are:

• IISc won first place among all teams appearing from India in the pairs competition.
• The team comprising Spandan Ghosh & Anish Hebbar won the 4th position (among 289 teams) in the pairs competition
• Rohit Kumar won 9th place (out of 393 contestants) in the individual competition.
