CPDMED-CEFC IISc Webinar Series Webinar 2

Title of the talk : India Unlock 4.0 : Essentiality of Low Cost Rapid COVID 19 Testing (poster)

As we move into India Unlock 4.0 phase,  the reopened economy requires repeated testing to track the progress of COVID19. With repeated testing becoming unavoidable, the market is looking for Non-invasive rapid testing options. Although the market is flooded with Rapid Antibody tests that are blood based, it is really not a feasible solution considering schools, air travel, and mass transit systems.

There is a need for saliva-based antibody tests that are fast, efficient, and cheap at scale.

Rapid Diagnostic Test Kit Challenges

  1. Repeated Non-invasive Testing of Masses at low cost
  2. Screening and Confirmatory tests for low resource settings with minimally skilled staff  like Primary Health care Centers
  3. Innovations from India :Local Sourcing:
  4. Million Scale Ready and Sustainability
